Week 1 of the college football season is FINALLY HERE. While week 0 was filled with some awesome games (Go Northwestern), it wasn’t quite the full CFB experience. I’m going to completely ignore my bets from last week because they were awful, so let’s jump into the REAL start of the season.
Week ONE Bets:
Penn State -3.5 over Purdue: Yeah yeah yeah, look at the Penn State fan betting on his team. Everyone is super low on Penn State this season and even on this game. Penn State wins by at least 7 here to cover. The Penn State passing attack will be too much for Purdue’s Defense. It’ll be a close game but Penn State will pull away in the 4th.
Oregon +16.5 against Georgia: Look I get the Georgia hype, they are the defending national champions, and return a ton of high level talent so it’s not crazy to think they will have a chance to defend their title; BUT to make them a 16.5 point favorite over a great Oregon team (one that upset Ohio State last year). Hammer Oregon to cover that spread, while they might not win they will 100% cover those points.
Utah -2.5 over Florida: Florida has apparently paid Utah $500,000 to come to the swamp to play, which is hilarious because Utah is going to 1000% win this game. 2.5 points is nothing, whoever wins this one will win by 3 points at least. Utah is a dark horse to go to the College Football Playoff and I think they will start their campaign early by getting a big win over the Gators.
