According to sources close to The Walk-On Redshirts, Oregon State and Washington State are set to join the ACC for the 2025 season. Washington State and Oregon State were the two remaining programs in the Pac-12 after every other member opted to leave the conference. The move sparked controversy in internal meetings, with Virginia Tech and Boston College raising questions about travel. One source from Florida State said, “We don’t plan to be in this conference when they join anyways.”

USC, UCLA, Washington, and Oregon are all set to join the Big Ten, expanding the Big Ten to the west coast. The ACC is also adding Stanford, Cal, and SMU. The Big 12 is bringing Colorado back after a short hiatus and also welcoming Arizona, Arizona State, and Utah.

One source said the deal was able to get done because Oregon State and Washington State are fronting $150 million each as part of the remaining funds in the Pac-12. A football coach on the NC State team commented, “If their money is green, the ACC will accept them. Any way the conference can make money is great.”

Administrators at Duke and NC State are rumored to be excited to expand their fandom and be able to cheer on teams in the Pacific Northwest during bowl season. If you’ve made it this far, April Fools.
